Thai Food in thai style

Attend a cooking class in Bangkok and learn how to make most delightful Thai dishes

Exotic colors, attention for details, abundant flavors…  welcome to the Thai cuisine. The rich variety of Thai dishes can’t be denied when visiting Thailand, even better if you can bring one of these dishes home! During a Thai cooking course in Thailand you will learn everything about the Thai cooking style, unique ingredients and above all: how to prepare a delightful Thai dish. Of course you get the recipes home afterwards.

Options and choices

Depending on the cooking school of your preference there are classes offered in the morning, afternoon and evening. Prices are starting at 1000 Thai Baht per course including ingredients, cooking facilities, professional teaching and recipes. Classes are provided in groups as well as on individual base however these are more expensive. Most classes can be attend by anyone, even if you have never touched a pan although there are several levels – professional cooks are being challenged as well to improve their cooking skills.

How does it work?

Assuming you are attending a group course you will meet your co-pupils (all with different nationalities) and walk together to a local market or herbal garden. The cooking expert will explain you everything about the Thai vegetables and spices and also what you should use when this specialty is not available in your country of residence. Consequently you walk towards the cooking school with all the required ingredients in your basket. Now it’s time to prepare the dishes – varying every day. Here an example of a menu:

  • Chicken yellow curry
  • Homemade yellow curry paste
  • Spicy prawns with lemon grass salad
  • Fried noodle wit soya sauce and chicken
  • Mango with sticky rice and coco milk

Everything ready? Enjoy your meal! Just an advise, make sure to eat not too much before you get to the cooking school, you will leave with a satisfied feeling.

There is so much more to do in the capital of Thailand. A morning cooking class can perfectly be combined with a walk in the Lumphini park followed by a visit of one of Bangkok’s night markets. The divers city has a lot more to offer besides the great food. See more of Bangkok’s activities at DE BANGKOK.
