Central World : Bangkok’s biggest shopping mall

A huge skyscraper of 200 meter is situated in Bangkok’s busy shopping district Siam. The Central World tower is not only one of the tallest buildings of Bangkok but also the biggest shopping complex with a surface of about 550,000 m². Next to the malls, it has many offices, restaurants and lots of entertainment, Central World has it all.

You can spend whole day in this mega mall. Starting with shopping in huge stores followed by a lunch in one of the 50 restaurants. In the afternoon you could go for a movie in one of the numerous cinema’s or make a picture with your biggest fan in Madame Tussauds. On the 17th floor: Zense.
After two years of renovations, the restaurant re-opened with a new, fresh look. The design is stylish, modern and artistic with geometric steal forms and comfortable seats. The restaurant is divided in two parts, you can either drink a coffee or cocktail on the balcony or consume a quality meal of the various cuisines inside the restaurant. Indeed, the restaurant serves five different high-quality cuisines namely Thai, Japanese, Italian Indian and modern European. Not all the elevators are reaching to the rooftop bar, so look carefully, it is definitely a great place to relax after a day full of shopping.

On the 18th floor: Shintori.
The rooftop restaurant is all in Japanese style including the cuisine. You can share the food which gives you the chance to taste a bit of everything. The Thai architect Duangrit Bunnag designed the restaurant, inspired by the Japanese Zen Buddism, simple and minimalistic with natural aspects.

On the 55th floor: Red Sky Roof Top.
The Red Sky Bar is part of the Central World. It is a tranquil bar with a good selection of European dishes and a long list of exclusive cocktails and wines. Especially a good idea during the happy hours between 5 and 7 PM. A specialty are the color changing arches of the building, you can’t miss it while walking through the city.

For the ones who want to see more, no worries. There are plenty shopping malls close by reachable by foot or BTS such as the King Power Duty Free shop with a fascinating amount of Chinese walking around, Siam Paragon which is Bangkok’s first mega shopping mall and encloses Siam Ocean World. MBK shopping mall is a little further away and offers a huge variety of shops and restaurants. To conclude the Pantip IT shopping centre and Platinum mall are situated next to each other, respectively providing all technical features and the latest fashion.
